ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is at 8am Mass every Sunday!  This is for children 3-7 years old.  During Mass children go with a prayer leader to hear the day's readings told at a level they can understand.  They then return to their parents in the pews before the Eucharist.

Breaking Open the Word

Below are some resources breaking open the Word.  There are videos from Catholic Kids Media, Children's Liturgy of the Word with Heidi Witte, and an episode of the Catholic Sprouts podcast for kids.  Catholic Sprouts is a short daily podcast for Catholic kids- well worth checking out!

FORMED

FORMED offers so many resources for all ages.  The parish has a subscription so it is free for all parishioners, you just have to register with your email.  To register, go to FORMED.org; click "sign up"; click "I belong to a parish"; search for our parish by zipcode "52641" and select our parish.  Enter your name and email.  You will then be sent an email to confirm your registration, click on the link in the email and you are ready to explore FORMED.  Besides programming for adults, there are also many great children's programs.
The Rosary: A Special Way to Pray
Join Brother Francis in this entertaining and guidance-filled presentation that will inspire children
to deepen their faith by praying the Rosary!  This episode includes:
The prayers of the Rosary as well as the Apostles' Creed—each wonderfully visualized!
The Annunciation—an animated portrayal of Mary's joyful submission to God's will.
Two visualized songs:
"I Love to Pray"—an energetic, catchy song that will encourage children to communicate with God anywhere and anytime!
"The Our Father"—an uplifting musical rendition that celebrates our Heavenly Father's presence in our daily lives!
Besides being a lot of fun, Brother Francis: The Rosary is a captivating way to help children
use their hearts and minds in prayer.
