Keeping our children and young people safe is of paramount importance to us. This is something we must work together to accomplish. During a regular faith formation year, we would provide a lesson from the Empowering God's Children curriculum to all youth in the program. This year, since we have a home-based program this will fall on the parents to complete with their children. Teens in Youth Ministry will be covering their lesson in a Youth Ministry meeting.
There is a detailed lesson plan to follow and online resources. If you are unable to access the videos because you lack internet or a device at home you have some options. If you have a device but no internet, you can bring your device to church, park in the back parking lot, and access our guest wifi from your car. If you have no device or internet, you can arrange for a time when your family can reserve a classroom and computer to work through the lesson. You can also complete the lesson without the video.
Below are the links to the resources and lessons. When you have completed the lesson, please complete the form that states you have completed the lesson with your children. You should have a copy of the form in the Family Faith Formation handbook. You can also find it below as the last page on the link to the at home instructions for parents. You must submit either the completion form or the opt out form to the office by October 25.
