What is a“Parish Immersion Passport”? Experience more of Parish life, make new connections, and win prizes in the process!
This year we are all going to try new ways to PRAY, BELIEVE, LIVE, and CELEBRATE our Catholic faith. It is so easy to get into a rut and not try new things. This Passport Challenge is a way to encourage you and your family to have new parish experiences and grow in your faith.
You will receive a booklet at Family Formation where you will find space to record your family’s experiences. You can record experiences starting August 1, 2023 (the feast day of St. Alphonsus) through Pentecost (May 19, 2024). Some experiences are for parents, some for children, and some for the whole family. There are minimum goals for each category of experiences (Pray, Believe, Live, and Celebrate).
Bring your passport booklet to the Family Formation gathering each month. For each experience you log the previous month you will earn an extra ticket to put in for our monthly prize drawing. For each experience you recordabove the minimum in that category or for optional activities that you complete, you will receive extra tickets for the monthly prize drawing. We are planning a parish outing in the Summer 2024 when we will rent the patio at Community Field so we can all enjoy a Burlington Bees game together. As you work through this booklet, there are goals for your family in each category. Reach the goals for each category by Pentecost and your children will be rewarded with tickets to a Burlington Bees game.
