In the classroom this month, children learned about the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Some review questions from this class are:
What are the signs used in the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick? (The outward signs are oil, the laying on of hands, the prayer, and the priest)
Who can administer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and why? (a priest of bishop, because hearing the sick person's confession often happens before he or she receives the anointing)
As we move into Lent, it is good to turn our thoughts toward the enormity of God’s plan of love for us. He invited Adam and Eve to be part of this intimate love, and even when they sinned God was still faithful to the plan. As we learn about His covenants with Noah, Abraham, and (next month) Moses, we will see some of Big Splash steps God took to prepare the world for the saving work of Jesus, and through these lessons we hope your family will learn that you are also invited to be part of that intimate love. What a great meditation for Lent!
